Meeting of the EITI MSG Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Working Group took place
On July 12, 2019, a meeting of the MSG Working Group on Disclosure of Beneficial Owners took place. During the meeting, the members of the working group and the specialists and experts of the field stakeholders discussed the requirements for the Beneficial Owners' register to be developed during the coming months. Particularly, issues related to the technical features of the register, registration of data and submission of the beneficial owners declarations, scope of the publicly available data and data publication on an Open Data Principle and comprehensive basis were discussed.
In the near future the Working Group will carry out a number of meetings.
The Republic of Armenia shall publish a Register as of January 1, 2020, which discloses the ultimate beneficial owners of the companies having rights to geological exploration and rights to metallic mineral extraction.
