In parallel with the 42nd session of the International Board of the EITI, a discussion on systematic disclosure was also organized. The goal of the event was to present the experiences of other member states of the EITI, which have already implemented some work in this direction and recorded results.

Armenia was one of the few countries that has introduced an electronic reporting platform. Lilia Shushanyan, Head of the Secretariat of the EITI of Armenia, presenting the experience of Armenia, stressed on the peculiarity of the latter in comparison with the existing system. Particularly, the Secretariat has developed not only a reporting system with an electronic signature, ensuring the possibility of reducing technical errors and reducing time, but has also introduced a tool to make basic data accessible to users in open format. This is especially important for involving stakeholders in the process in terms of promotion a dialogue and new reforms.

An opinion was expressed during the question and answer, that if businessmen are interested in these data in other countries, their main users in Armenia are expected to be civil society representatives, as well as government officials who will proactively launch projects that bring positive changes in the field.
