Meeting - discussion on 2025-2026 Armenia EITI Working Plan

On February 17, 2026, a meeting and discussion of representatives of the EITI Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG) constituencies was held at the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure. The meeting was dedicated to the draft Armenia EITI 2025–2026 Work Plan and the consolidation of comments and observations submitted by the constituencies.

The meeting was attended by EITI MSG members Asatur Vardanyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Nazeli Vardanyan, Director of “Forests of Armenia” Environmental NGO; Oleg Dulgaryan, President of the “Community Consolidation and Support Center” NGO; Artur Grigoryan, President of the “Environmental Law” NGO; Arsen Arsenyan, Co-Founder of the “Healthy Environment” NGO; Hripsime Kocharyan, President of the “Successful Woman” NGO; Nerses Karamanukyan, Director of “AGAPE” LLC; Vahram Avagyan, Director of Sustainable Development at “NRM” CJSC; and Hasmik Manukyan, EITI National Coordinator.

The meeting was also attended by Seryozha Grigoryan, Adviser to the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure; Karen Gasparyan, Head of the Ministry’s Subsoil Department; and Seda Hakobyan, Head of the Policy Development Division.

At the beginning of the meeting, Hasmik Manukyan, EITI National Coordinator, presented the principles underlying the preparation of the Work Plan, the objectives of the activities included therein, and clarifications regarding their sources of funding. Ms. Manukyan also provided a summary of her comments on the observations submitted by the Civil Society Constituency.

The participants then discussed a number of observations concerning specific activities included in the Work Plan, as well as proposals related to working groups.

As a result of the discussion, it was agreed that there were no outstanding disagreements regarding the Work Plan and that it could be submitted to the MSG for approval. It was also agreed that the proposals concerning the establishment of working groups raised during the discussion would be circulated by the EITI Secretariat among MSG members for their consideration and feedback, on the basis of which the respective working groups would be formed.
