The EITI Board Commends Armenia for Its Strong Performance in Implementing the 2019 EITI Standard
We are pleased to announce that, following Armenia’s second Validation, the international EITI Board adopted the following decision:
Armenia has achieved a high score of 89.5 points for implementing the 2019 EITI Standard.
The overall score represents the average of the scores achieved across three components: Stakeholder Engagement, Transparency, and Outcomes and Impact.
According to the Validation assessment, Armenia has exceeded one EITI Requirement, fully met 24 Requirements, and nearly met two Requirements.
The EITI Board highly commends the effective cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Multi-Stakeholder Group (MSG), which has contributed to the continued disclosure of data in the mining sector and the timely implementation of the objectives set out in the EITI work plan.
The Board welcomes Armenia’s efforts to further improve the accessibility, interoperability, and comprehensiveness of data, building on the country’s experience with systematic disclosures. The Board also notes opportunities to further strengthen data quality and environmental and social disclosures.
Armenia’s next Validation will take place three years later, on July 1, 2027.
